| PennWest is rich in
heritage, with over 35 years in the material handling
business, being once part of the Beckwith Machinery
Company. Although PennWest is a new name, formed
in October of 2005, the people employed there have
been serving western Pennsylvania and Northern West
Virginia and Ohio Valley for years. |

PennWest Toyota Lift is located at 168 Westec Drive,
Mount Pleasant in Industrial Part I near Sony. The Erie office is located in the Walker Properties
just off Route 79. The Altoona area office is located
in Duncansville. We also have a location in Fairmont,
West Virginia. PennWest is the local dealer for Toyota,
Linde and Kalmar lift trucks. In addition to equipment
sales, PennWest provides product support, rentals and
other material handling products.
- 1967: Beckwith Machinery Company entered the Material
Handling business as a result of purchasing the local
Towmotor dealership. The business was operated out
of the Murrysville location.
- 1979: Beckwith Machinery Company opened a dedicated
material handling facility on Crooked Run Road in
North Versailles, PA.
- 1989: Beckwith became a dealer for Baker Material
Handling now known as Linde Material Handling, North
America.
- 1992: Beckwith discontinued representation of Caterpillar
lift trucks and became a dealer for Toyota Industrial
Equipment.
- 2005: In October 2005, PennWest Toyota Lift was
formed as a separate entity from Beckwith Machinery
Company.
- 2007: Acquired by Mark Gaier,
owner and founder of
Romar Industrial
Services in Pittsburgh.
