Our New Ownership
PennWest Industrial Trucks dba
PennWest Toyota Lift in Mount Pleasant was recently acquired by Mark Gaier, owner and founder of Romar Industrial Services in
Pittsburgh. PennWest Industrial Trucks was originally formed in October
2005 as a spin-off from Beckwith Machinery Company.
Mr. Gaier purchased PennWest due to
the brands in which the company represents and its experienced
staff. According to Mr. Gaier, “The purchase
of PennWest represents an outstanding blend of top talent within the
industry combined with the Toyota brand name. There are
synergies between the two companies that will help to expand the
business both in our region and internationally.”
Romar Industrial Services located in
Pittsburgh specializes in the remanufacture of power components for
large earthmoving machinery. Romar has an office in the UK that deals
primarily with large mining interests in Europe and Africa.
PennWest Industrial Trucks currently
located in Mount Pleasant is the area dealer for several brands of
lift trucks including Toyota Industrial Equipment manufactured in
Columbus, Indiana. In addition to the Mount Pleasant facility,
PennWest recently opened a full service branch in Erie. We are now
relocated the company’s headquarters to a 35,000 square foot state of the
art showroom and product support facility in the Westmoreland Technology
Park located in Mount Pleasant. The combined companies employ 75
people worldwide.
The management of the combined
company includes Edward A. Dills as CEO, Barb Lavelle, CFO, Janis
Bush, Group President, PennWest Industrial Trucks, G.R. Clemence,
General Sales Manager and Jim Shook, Vice President and General Manager,
Romar Industrial Services. |
